Skip-it

The transition from one state to another occurs just in a few moments of time. These few moments are enough to examine and understand the nature of the phenomena. Skip-it is the state of human mind between ignorance and comprehension of the global warming. Through a corporeal experience and a child play, the dark ice ball revolves around one’s own environment. The ball; as both the house and the natural environment fuse human and animal behavior.

The state of the solid ice ball changes, depending on the behavior of the player. Through a constant play, the ball cracks leaving visible dark stains on the ground: The ball is not what it used to be.

Book: Tekirdağ Design Charrette: Scenarios for Waterfront

  Within the framework of the Erasmus + KA171 project carried out between Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University and Albania Barleti University, an event titled “Tekirdağ Design Charrette: Scenarios for Waterfront” was held between July 3–6, 2023, in Tekirdağ, Türkiye. The proceedings of the charrette conducted in collaboration with Universiteti Barleti and Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversitesi  and organized in coordination with İstanbul Arel Üniversitesi  in 2023, funded by the Erasmus + KA 171 project, have just been published.  The book, which was carried out with great effort, aims to highlight the importance of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches in addressing the challenges and opportunities in the coastal areas of Tekirdağ and to encourage collaboration between local administrators, policymakers, and various stakeholders in shaping the future development of this strategic coastal city.
